que mala onda
i arrived in buenos aires this morning safe and sound. my 10 hour flight felt like 5 at most. took a taxi to kat's apartment in palermo, which appears to be the rather hip part of town and pretty much went nonstop til what is now almost 5am. explored some of palermo and its many beautifully decorated boutiques and shops (B.A. has the greatest vintage furniture and interior design i've yet to see), coincidentally ran into two of kat's newly found persian lady friends whilst looking for lunch and proceeded to laugh relentlessly no thanks to them, took some fun photos i was excited about, attended an argentine house party and had a great time dancing to gypsy kings, meeting randoms biking through south america, talking serbian history and british lit, drinking fine scotch, etc. life was great... until i realized my camera was nowhere to be found, and definitely not where i had last left it. while its only my first day in this seemingly fantastic ciudad, i am rather sad to relay that i've been badly vibed (good thing i bought travelrs insurance!) obsessively photographing all i see will have to wait for now. nevertheless, the beautiful barrio of san telmo, its cobblestone streets, outdoor cafes and galleries await.
