Peter Bognanni's House of Tomorrow really pisses me off. How can a debut novel from a guy about my age be so damn charming? It's effortlessly written with humor and eccentricity, tenderness and angst, wrought with seamless detail AND set to a back drop of some of the most classic punk rock songs of all time. Some people were born to write and Bognanni is clearly one of the lucky ones. He nails it in this book that recalls the first time you hated life, heard the Ramones, fell in love and felt fucking indestructible.
